Bushfire fuel reduction equipment guide

Choose the system around the specified fuel-treatment outcome, environmental constraints and the number of passes—not a headline cutting diameter.

Fuel-reduction contracts are bought against an outcome: access width, retained vegetation, residue size, fuel continuity or another documented treatment standard. Equipment selection should begin with that acceptance test and the environmental limits on soil disturbance, retained trees and material movement.

Mulching can combine cutting and residue treatment in one pass, but production changes sharply with density, moisture, rock and required finish. A site survey and representative demonstration are more useful than any maximum-diameter claim.
