A mulcher works above the ground
It reduces standing and fallen vegetation to mulch, left on the surface. Ground contact is something to minimise, because soil is far harder on tooling than wood is, and the treatment standard is usually about what remains above the surface rather than below it.
- Fuel reduction and fire-break maintenance
- Corridor and right-of-way vegetation control
- Clearing where material can stay on site as mulch
- Work where the soil should not be disturbed
